HOUSTON, TX – The OCA-Greater Houston Chapter (OCA-GH) will hold its 22nd Annual “They Serve With Honor” Awards Reception on Friday, February 10, 2023 7PM at the Ocean Palace Restaurant Ballroom (11215 Bellaire Blvd). At this annual reception, OCA-GH honors outstanding Asian American & Pacific Islander American employees in our community and features the presentation of the OCA-GH Outstanding Community Achievement Award. We aim to showcase AAPI employees' achievements in the workplace and express our appreciation for contributions AAPIs have made in myriad fields and endeavors. Past recipients have included George Takei, Actor and Community Advocate, Hon. Rodney Ellis Texas State Senator, District 13 & Harris County Commissioner, and Martha J. Wong, 1st Asian American TX State Representative & Houston City Council Member. Here is the full list of Past Honorees.
Founded in 1973, OCA is a national nonprofit organization of community advocates dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of AAPIs in the United States. Established in 1979, the OCA-Greater Houston Chapter is one of OCA’s 100+ chapters and affiliates and works to provide strong local programs that empower the AAPI community through advocacy, cultural awareness, professional development, economic empowerment, youth leadership training, civic engagement, community service, and education. Funds raised at this event will support all our programs.
