Catch a screening of the award-winning drama comedy DEALING WITH DAD, about an Asian American family dealing with a depressed dad, who’s actually nicer depressed than well. SCREEN RANT called the film “a family dramedy that is just as enthralling to watch” while CHARACTER MEDIA said it’s “funny and achingly poignant...” DEALING WITH DAD has played 37 film festivals across the US, with 14 festival awards and recently was nominated for the prestigious Humanitas Prize for Comedy Feature Film.
Following the screening will be a reception with director Tom Huang.
About the Director:
TOM HUANG is a multi-award-winning indie filmmaker, producer, director and writer. His last feature film, FIND ME, has drawn raves from audiences and critics alike across the U.S., scoring 100% on Rotten Tomatoes with critics and winning Best Screenplay at the Rhode Island International Film Fest, Best Feature Film at the Atlanta Independent Film Fest, and the Audience Award at the Oregon DisOrient Asian-American Film Fest.
Current projects in development include “The Loyal Betrayal,” a film noir feature film set in the Manzanar Japanese Internment Camp during World War II, and a sequel to "Find Me," involving a group of inner-city kids who decide to go explore the outdoors.
