Please join OCA-Greater Houston for our next installation of TEA Talks on Wednesday, April 17! This talk will focus on the Legislative Visit to Austin for AAPI Advocacy Day April 30, 2019 from 6pm to 8pm at the boardroom in the Chinese Community Center.
About the speaker:
Isabel Longoria is an Associate State Director of Outreach and Advocacy with AARP Houston. Her work focuses on organizing volunteers in Houston to advocate on behalf of various local initiatives important to seniors and caregivers, and building a sustainable, multicultural education and outreach program. Outside of AARP, Isabel serves on the Houston Planning Commission, as a Board Member of New Leader’s Council – Houston and the League of Women Voters, and in 2018 was awarded Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Female of Executive of the Year.

The intent of TEA Talks is to discuss current and ongoing issues/topics that the AAPI community face and promote discussion that drive towards possible solutions to those issues. We want to make this as engaging as possible so we plan to format these Talks with interactive activities such as ice breakers, small group discussions, and socials!

Make the trip to Austin, TX for AAPI Advocacy Day at the Capital
Sign up to join us for the bus trip to Austin on April 30th. The bus leaves from the OCA-Greater Houston Programs office at 7001 Corporate Drive at 5:30am and gets back that day at 9pm. The group will have lunch with TX State Rep. Gene Wu.
